Position Title: Technical Phone Support
Supervisor: Parts and Service Support Manager
Position Summary:
Provides telephone support for machine end users and distributors by assisting with troubleshooting, application, information, and processing requests for quotations and entering part or subassembly orders, specializing in machine component repair and rebuilding.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Required Education: Two years Electro-mechanical technician certificate or 2 years electrical-mechanical experience within this industry.
Required Experience: Ability to read and understand mechanical prints, electrical & pneumatic schematics.
Preferred Experience: Infor XA/Powerlink computer programs.
Familiar with PLC, VFD, and HMI trouble shooting.
Special Qualifications: Effective communications & problem-solving skills
Position Accountabilities:
1. Quickly and courteously assess the parts and service needs of customers owning a wide variety of equipment, by listening to operators and maintenance people describe machine conditions.
2. Provide troubleshooting advice and systematically assist customers install, repair, align, and operate their equipment to achieve maximum productivity and safety.
3. Actively develop and quote pricing and availability of parts and subassemblies from
INFOR XA database.
4. Enter orders for spare, warranty, repair, rebuild, and replacement parts and subassemblies.
5. Provide assistance in requests for quotations for replacement parts and upgrades.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
