Saw Operator (metal raw material)-Balancer
Set-up, adjustment, and operate high-speed, custom-built aluminum saws. Our Saw Operators pride themselves on maintaining precision
sawing tolerances on aluminum plate and bar items produced using our state-of-the-art equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Sets up, adjusts and operates saws.
Follow cutting specifications, selection of proper steel and follows blueprints with no supervision other than job assignment.
Operates balancer to balance cylinders.
Use computer-based saw to cut aluminum.
Utilize computer software to understand and follow through with sales work orders.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Know Your Saw: Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; trouble shooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age.
Preferred Education: 2 year technical school in machining program – Basic computer skills
Minimum Experience: 1 to 2 years in manufacturing setting
Special Qualifications: Blueprint reading skills, high attention to detail, read tape measure – do fractions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with arms, talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and may occasionally use ladders for a variety of tasks.
