The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for properly receiving incoming inventory, timely staging and timely shipping outgoing orders while adhering to safety procedures and providing accurate, timely shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Receive all parts that are shipped in, making sure they are received in good condition and packing slips match the part and quantity received and routing material to proper departments.
• Order all non-controlled items, for receiving materials from vendors.
• Pack and ship orders to internal and external customers in the most efficient manner
• Maintain shipping logs.
• Stock all parts in the parts warehouse after they have been checked in.
• Cross-check inventory accuracy with system entries.
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.
• Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
• Gathers parts, fills orders, tags incoming parts for orders, and stores incoming materials. Processes return parts.
• Reports damaged goods and shortages.
• Pulls parts from inventory from cover sheets and bills of material and monitoring parts withdrawals.
• Also gathers parts to fill orders, tags incoming parts for orders, and stores incoming materials. Responsible for final pull of parts to assembly floor and checking requisitions against excess stock.
• Assist inventory control in cycle counting and processing of return parts.
• Drive delivery truck and operate forklift truck when necessary.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Practical experience with machine integration efforts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with arms, talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and may occasionally use ladders for a variety of tasks.
